Unfortunately, as !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , the Focus RS is coming in at a not-so-cheap $47k CAD. That puts its above the STi in Sport-Tech trim (the fanciest package available) by about $1300 before taxes are factored in, and before you add the Nitrous Blue paint because YOU MUST.
What I really don’t understand is the ridiculous 7% finance rate. Can someone explain to me why the GT350 has only a 4.6% rate even though the car is nearly $20k more??!!
Due to my acquisition of a new sportbike in the spring my dreams of moving on to a new car have been delayed by about a year at least but I think that’s a good thing. Let the reviews come in, let Ford work out any bugs, and let depreciation take its natural course.

There is nothing in this world that I would be willing to buy with an interest rate higher than 5%. unless I was going to be able to pay it off in like a month.

Jeez 56k after sales tax.

Focus RS?!?!?
I have seen 4 ST’s to this point up here. I have literally seen more Ferrari’s than I have ST’s. Can’t think these will be too popular in ‘Berta

I see a few FoSTs around here (GTA). Lots of STi’s as well. I think it has its place in the market, but definitely an enthusiast vehicle. I doubt many will even recognize it as a Focus on the road.

Wow. That’s really expensive.
The low dollar has really killed our new vehicle purchasing power. I’m sure the average salary hasn’t gone up 30-40% to compensate for our exchange rate >_>

Ottawa also has quite a few of them. I see maybe 3 FoST for every FiST

I hate talking dollars for cars, but my M235i was less than that. The Focus RS looks awesome, but I doubt it’s worth $50k.

The starting price if you live in QC is $48,669 . Boo!
And the net price, taxes all in, is $57,102 . That’s way too much money.

Happy with the M235i? Is it paddles-only?

I’m kinda hoping that the financing rates just haven’t been configured yet and 7% was some default value. Cuz that’s pretty messed up.

Super pleased with it. It’s been a year and a half so far, and 20,000kms. It’s everything I could hope for in a car (I was even able to fit a tree in it last week). Mine’s a regular old auto (ZF8), but you can get a 6 speed (they’re hard to find, though).
